Earth 2050: Create a Better World
We had a wonderful time at Earth 2050, the inspiring community event we hosted on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Mill Valley Community Center in Marin County, California.
Over a thousand people of all ages joined our Earth Day celebration, to enjoy informative exhibits and activities, fine art, good food, inspiring talks and music. We invited them to help create a better world by taking actions such as: use clean energy, eat sustainably, live lightly and build healthy communities.
Featured musicians included Maria Muldaur, Matt Jaffe, Reed Fromer, the Shady Ladies and Freedom Singers. Featured artists included Tom Killion, Tess Felix and many more, including young creators. We also featured a wide range of collaborative activities, fun and games in this beautiful outdoor setting.
The event was produced by Green Change in collaboration with over 50 partners, including Mill Valley Recreation, Good Earth Natural Foods, Marin Water, MCE, Mill Valley Refuse Service, Ride and Drive Clean, Straus Family Creamery, The New Wheel and many more listed below.

Take action for a better world
At Earth 2050, we invited participants to take action to create a better world. To make it easy for them, Green Change hosted a Take Action booth to present a wide range of climate actions.
Our hosts guided visitors to find climate actions that were right for them. Our action signs included QR codes to Green Change’s online Action Guides and Green Tips, where you can learn more. We also steered them towards other activities and partner tables for actions they were interested in.
Here are just a few of our recommended actions to help you make a green change in your life:
- ENERGY: Use Renewable Electricity, Use Home Batteries, Install Solar Panels
- TRANSPORT: Get an Electric Car, Get an Electric Bike, Take Public Transit
- HOME: Electrify your Home, Switch to LEDs, Weatherize your Home
- FOOD: Eat Less Meat, Don’t Waste Food, Grow Your Own Food
- LIVING: Live Lightly, Save Water, Use Less Plastic
- POLITICS: Support Climate Justice, Support Young Activists
Which action will you take this year? Can you make a pledge to take at least one climate action to help reduce global warming?
