Join a book circle about climate action
By Anne-Christine Strugnell, Green Change
Are you hungry for deeper dialogue about the climate crisis and building community around solutions? The people who wrote the book All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis know how you feel. They encourage people to create “circles,” which they describe as “like a book club, but a cooler, deeper, extended version.”
We are starting an “All We Can Save” book circle, using their template and guidance for leading discussions. If you’d like to join the circle, you can find more about it on our project page. Read about AWCS “circles,” and if you’d like to join us, let us know by sending an email to books@greenchange.net and we’ll be in touch.
If you’d like to start a discussion group of your own or bring some thought-provoking books to an existing book club, here are some recommended climate action books (pictured below):
-
All We Can Save, Edited by Ayana Johnson and Katharine Wilkinson
-
Regeneration, by Paul Hawken and team
-
Saving Us, by Katharine Hayhoe (our next keynote speaker, see above)
-
The Book of Hope, by Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams
-
The Ministry for the Future, by Kim Stanley Robinson
