Make your own bamboo drying rack

At our house, we have an abundance of bamboo and broken tennis strings. We do not purchase plastic bags, but when we happen to acquire them, we are vigilant about reusing and ultimately recycling them. 

My son Gus and I made a bamboo drying rack, which really helps when we wash and dry plastic bags and recyclable packaging. When a plastic bag reaches the end of its useful life in our house, we wash and dry it and drop it off at a grocery store that recycles plastic bags (such as Safeway).
