How can we join forces to heal the planet while living a more fulfilling life? Can we save our future through human connections and regenerative actions?

To discuss these questions, Green Change hosted a Regeneration Meetup over Zoom on Monday, February 7, from 6 pm PT. Our speakers included Katharine HayhoeAnne-Marie Bonneau and Chance Cutrano.

Meet our Speakers

Katharine Hayhoe, The Nature Conservancy

Katharine Hayhoe is chief scientist at The Nature Conservancy, author of “Saving Us” – and was our keynote speaker. Called “one of the nation’s most effective communicators on climate change” by The New York Times, Katharine thinks the most important thing we can do to address climate change is to talk about it — and she wants to teach you how. She spoke about how we can find hope and healing in a divided world, connect with each other, learn about our “climate shadow” and take action to save ourselves and the planet.

Anne-Marie Bonneau, Zero-Waste Chef

Anne-Marie is a blogger and editor of the Zero Waste Chef Cookbook. She will talk about her regenerative lifestyle and will share practical tips for a sustainable kitchen, garden, and planet, to help us reduce waste in our own lives. A role model for regenerative living, she has lived plastic-free for over a decade and writes about such diverse topics as “frugal hugelkultur,” sourdough bread, fermentation, freestyle cooking, how to shop sustainably, and how to break up with plastic.

Chance Cutrano, Sierra Club

Chance is environmentalist and chair of the Sierra Club’s San Francisco Bay Chapter. He discussed the many ways that people can protect nature and biodiversity, drawing on his work at the Sierra Club, at the Resource Renewal Institute, on the board of International Rivers – and as vice-mayor of the sustainable town of Fairfax, California. He shared helpful information about regenerative actions that we can take to save our environment and the planet we call home.
